* PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock erased a two-run deficit in the final two innings, and rallied past perennial 2-A powerhouse South Lenoir, 3-2, on Friday evening.

The Golden Falcons tied the game at 2-2 in the sixth and scored the game-winning run in the seventh.

Senior right-hander Brooke Bell started and permitted one hit in 21/3 innings inside the pitcher's circle. Cierra Harris, who earned the decision, yielded two earned runs on five hits in 42/3 innings.

Reagan Herndon paced the Aycock offense with two hits. Meredith Burroughs (two RBI), Bell, Connor Davis and Katie Gay contributed one hit apiece.

Aycock traveled to West Johnston for a doubleheader on Saturday.

Girls' soccer

Princeton 4, RM Prep 0

* ROCKY MOUNT -- Ashley Jacobs punched in four goals and Princeton handed Rocky Mount Prep a 4-0 loss Friday afternoon.

Jacobs scored on assists from MacKenzie Smale, Jessica Brush (two) and Jenna Woodard.

Bulldogs keeper Amber Hill recorded 10 saves and earned the shutout between the pipes.

Princeton (7-4-1 overall) opens Carolina 1-A Conference play Monday at Goldsboro.
