Adams propels Eagles
* DUDLEY -- Rosewood emerged as the top team in a four-team season-opening match contested on a soggy Southern Wayne Country Club course Monday afternoon.
The Eagles were led by defending 1-A eastern regional champion Nick Adams' round of 73. Andrew Henn added a 76, while Jaz Verceles-Zara fired an 84. Austin Creger tallied a 94 to round out Rosewood's 327 team total.
Southern Wayne finished second in the team standings with a 348 total. South Central (379) and Goldsboro (404) completed the field.
Rosewood (3-0 overall) returns to action Friday at the Campbell Invitational in Buies Creek.
