Varsity basketball

Raleigh Hawks 57, Goldsboro Heat 46

* RALEIGH -- Harrison Farley collected 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the Goldsboro Heat's road loss against the Raleigh Hawks on Saturday.

Blake Poland added eight points, four rebounds and five assists. Bryson Farley chipped in seven points.

Goldsboro plays host to South Wake at Snow Hill on Tuesday.

JV sports

* Boys' basketball: Raleigh Hawks 50, Goldsboro Heat 43 -- Blake Poland delivered 15 points and seven rebounds for the Heat. Teammate Jacob Hughes supplied nine points and three steals. The Heat plays host to South Wake at Snow Hill on Tuesday.

Middle schools

* Boys' basketball: Raleigh Hawks 53, Goldsboro Heat 45 (OT) -- Gavin Portela paced the Heat's offense with 17 points. Clay West added eight points and 11 rebounds. Matt Poland and Cameron Yarbrough pulled down eight and seven rebounds, respectively. Goldsboro welcomes South Wake for a contest in Snow Hill on Tuesday.
