MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive College goalkeeper Lyndsey McIntyre, who ranks among the top 40 in the nation in two statistical categories, has been named to the 2011 NSCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-Southeast Region Second Team.
The squad was voted on by members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. McIntyre becomes the second Trojan women's soccer student-athlete this year to earn an all-region award.
A senior from Leesburg, Va., McIntyre ranked 22nd nationally with an .862 save percentage and her 0.75 goals-against-average ranked 40th overall. McIntyre played all but 20 minutes between the pipes this season, recorded 81 saves and permitted just 13 goals in nearly 1,600 minutes.
McIntyre logged five shutouts.
The Trojans concluded the year 10-5-2 overall, and won the Conference Carolinas East Division championship with an 8-3-1 worksheet.
In addition to her outstanding play on the field, McIntyre earned two prestigious academic honors this fall.
