ALBEMARLE -- Princeton's run in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1-A Midwest Regional football playoffs came to an abrupt end with a 64-0 loss at Albemarle on Friday night.
The Bulldogs (12-1 overall) rolled up 467 yards rushing and added 44 yards through the air for 511 yards of total offense.
"That is a really good team all the way around," Princeton head coach Russell Williamson said. "They have quality players all over the football field and especially in the backfield."
Five different Albemarle running backs each scored a touchdown. Daquan Ellis paced the home squad with 216 yards on 16 carries. Markez Brown added 81 yards on 13 totes. Deon Christian completed five pases for 42 yards and one touchdown.
Albemarle faces Tri-County 1-A Conference member Lakewood in the third round.
Princeton concluded the season 4-8 overall.
"Our guys gave it everything they had," Williamson said. "Sometimes the other team has just got too many athletes to handle. But, I am still proud of my kids because they had a good year."
