Darden hits Wayne Christian into Carolina Christian 1-A baseball tournament final

WILSON -- Chase Darden swatted two home runs, and Wayne Christian hammered Crossroads Christian, 18-8, in semifinal-round play of the 2011 Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tournament Friday afternoon.
Darden finished the game with three hits and six RBI.
Chandler Harrell emerged the winning the pitcher.
Wayne Christian (9-8 overall) opposes Cape Fear Christian in the championship game Monday afternoon on the Community Christian diamond. The winner secures the automatic bid to the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association playoffs.
