Logan Bill punched in a career-high five goals and Rosewood throttled county rival Spring Creek, 8-1, in the Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season finale for both teams Friday afternoon.

Bill added an assist for the Eagles, who shared the regular-season championship with Princeton and Goldsboro. Rosewood drew the No. 1 seed and an opening-round home contest for the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs, which begin either Tuesday or Wednesday.

The Dogs (5-7-2 overall) are the No. 2 seed and the Cougars (8-7-1) are the No. 3 seed. Both teams are eligible for wild-card entry in the 16-team eastern field.

Bill notched goals off three assists from Rachael McAlduff and one assist by Cory Smith. McAlduff scored off Bill's assist. Holly Heath collected an unassisted goal and freshman Kia Cox capped the scoring with a goal off Smith's assist.

Rionna Allen played in goal for the second straight game.

Rosewood improved to 7-5-2 overall.
