Wilson Hunt is a very good soccer team.

Eastern Wayne found out first hand on Friday night.

Hunt grabbed the lead nine minutes later when Rebekah Craven headed a shot into the corner of the net off o set play from a corner kick. The visitors added to their advantage in the 33rd minute when Ashley Batchelor found the mark from close range off a pass from Craven.

"I thought we did a pretty good job of organizing ourselves defensively we just had a few lapses in the first game of the season," said Wagner. "We were compact and we played to our strengths, but a couple of balls got through anyway."

Eastern Wayne played better ball controll in the second half, but failed to put together any sustained offense. Hunt outshot Eastern Wayne 13-1 on the night.

Hunt (3-0-0 overall) capped the scoring in the 73rd minute when Batchelor found the mark for the second time off a pass from Alex Hall.

Eastern Wayne (0-1-0) goal keeper Sidney Potter recorded seven saves on the night.
