There is officially one day left to finish Christmas shopping.

No doubt the harshness of that reality has set in among more than a few last-minute gift buyers today.

It's a good thing there are several great gift ideas for the outdoorsman on everyone's shopping list that can be picked up quickly and will make any hunter smile.

* Binoculars -- Every hunter has a pair of trusty binoculars, but every few years field glasses can use an upgrade. Like almost all hunting equipment, binoculars need to be suited for the type of activity in which they are going to be used, so asking some basic questions of the giftee may be necessary.

Among the most popular spectacles going this holiday season are the Nikon Realtree Outdoors compact binoculars. The 10x25 field glasses are powerful enough to be effective in thick cover as well as compact enough to fit in a shirt pocket. Depending on the retailer, Nikon Realtree 10x25 Binoculars range from $70-$90.

* Knives -- One of the most important hunting accessories is a capable knife. Whether it's for cutting rope at a camp site, cleaning fish on a cutting board or skinning a dear, a reliable knife is a must have.

Winchester has covered all the outdoor bases this holiday season with a three-knife gift set which has been released to many major retailers. The set includes a 3-blade stockman pocket knife, a pocket clip knife with a three-inch blade and a fixed sheath knife with a four-inch blade. The set comes in wood or bone handle design for $15-$20.

* Electronics -- Every season scouting gets more important and more high-tech. Over the past few years game cameras have increased in popularity and decreased in cost making them a perfect last-minute holiday gift.

The Wildgame Innovations 5.0 megapixel game camera features a 2GB memory card and an LCD monitor for quick identification. Easy to use, the camera runs on four "C" batteries and can be mounted quickly on any tree. The Wildgame Innovations camera is available at several retailers for $90-$110.
