PRINCETON -- Goldsboro ended its season on a high note with a 1-1 draw at Carolina 1-A Conference foe Princeton on Wednesday night.
Jeff Martinez scored the Cougars' goal off of an assist from Damon Pate.
"I was really proud of the effort my guys gave tonight in a very close match," Goldsboro head coach Tyler Gatlin said. "Too many times this year it seemed like we gave good effort and came up short, but tonight we were good enough to earn a draw."
Goldsboro finished the season with a 2-14-2 record, including an 0-7-1 worksheet against conference opposition.
