SNOW HILL -- North Lenoir pulled out a 45-43 road win at Greene Central on Friday night.
Dominique Graham and Nicole Cannon each scored nine points for the Rams in the losing effort. Shonice Pettaway contributed six points.
Greene Central (0-1) visits Charles B. Aycock on Monday night.
Conquerors fall
WYNDALE -- Faith Christian was dealt a 31-14 loss to Cramerton Christian in the Southeastern Invitational Tournament on Friday night.
Elizabethe Weeks and Christina Powell each scored five points for the Conquerors and Powell grabbed six rebounds. Charity Spencer added four points and Brianna Champion had five rebounds.
Faith's (1-1) next home game is Dec. 1 vs. Woodland Christian.
Gators stumble
SEVEN SPRINGS -- South Lenoir slipped out of Spring Creek with a 42-33 victory on Friday night.
Melanique DeVeaux paced the Gators with 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Savannah Egleston supplied eight points and Norma Valentin contributed five points, four rebounds and two steals.
Spring Creek (0-2) plays host to Midway on Monday.
Warriors turned back
HAVELOCK -- Havelock handed Eastern Wayne a season-opening 65-24 on Thursday night.
Tiarra McIntyre scored nine points for the Warriors and Tia Jones chipped in eight points and 10 rebounds.
Eastern Wayne entertains New Hanover on Tuesday night.

* Girls Basketball: J.H. Rose d. Wayne Christian 43-24 -- Jessica Swets paced the Eagles with eight points and three steals. Britney' O'Hara provided seven points, five rebounds and three steals. Katie Isenhower added five points and 10 rebounds and four blocks. Kaylee Wallace grabbed 12 rebounds and two points.
