ANDERSON, S.C. -- Reigning Conference Carolinas women's volleyball champion Anderson (S.C.) University continued its mastery over Mount Olive College in the postseason.

Fourth-seeded Anderson seized a two-set advantage and turned back the Trojans 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 25-20 in their opening-round contest Tuesday evening. It was Anderson's third consecutive triumph over MOC in Conference Carolinas tournament action.

The four-set defeat ended the careers of four MOC seniors -- setter Joanie Werling, middle hitter Racey Bartley, Caitlin Skislak and outside hitter Alicia Mote. Bartley logged a team-high 15 kills, while Mote provided nine kills and four service aces.

Werling dished out 28 assists and served three aces. Skislak recorded seven digs defensively for MOC, which concluded the season 13-19. The Trojans were 13-7 in their final 20 matches after an 0-12 start.

Christiane Maul supplied eight kills.
