Wayne County North turns back S. Johnston

FOUR OAKS -- Hunter Newsome and Logan Wicks each cranked out an extra-base hit as Eastern Wayne stopped South Johnston 5-3 in an American Junior Legion baseball contest Saturday.
Newsome and Wicks (RBI) finished the day with two hits apiece.
Wicks scattered six hits and fanned five South Johnston batters during four innings of work. Zack Mozingo provided three innings of one-hit, scoreless relief for the save.
Eastern Wayne improved to 2-4 overall.
