Rosewood triumphed in three key individual matches down the stretch and turned back Wilson Beddingfield 40-34 in non-conference wrestling action Friday evening.

Jon Rudolph fueled the Eagles' comeback with an 8-6 triumph against the Bruins' Victor Perez. Rudolph trailed 6-4 with 15 seconds remaining before scoring a takedown and two match-clinching back points to secure the 171-pound win.

After a Beddingfield victory, Rosewood 215-pounder Cameron Lane pinned the Bruins' Lloyd Davis in 49 seconds. Moments later, teammate Paul Atkinson sealed the Eagles' surge with a 37-second fall against Keshon Sims.

"(Jon's match) was huge for him and the team. Jonathan's confidence and maturity is really beginning to show now," said Rosewood head coach Bill Edmundson. "This match was much tighter than we anticipated and it came down to our bigger guys. They were put in a position where they had to pin for us to win and they came through."

Rosewood (15-2 overall) triumphed in seven of 12 contested matches.

Zach Behrend (112 pounds) earned a major decision, while Matt Coley (135) eased past the Bruins' Mark Knight. Fellow Eagles Dillion Guss (140) and Joshua Holmes (145) each pinned their respective opponents.

Andrew Sass (152) received a forfeit.

The Eagles wrestled Saturday at the Firebird Duals, hosted by Southern Nash.
