SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek forced five quick third-quarter turnovers and used the momentum to defeat Midway 84-66 on Tuesday evening.
Melvin DeVeaux, Dontay Boseman, Anthony Green and Courtland Jones all scored in double figures for the Gators. Ronald Fisher collected 13 rebounds, while DeVeaux dished out eight assists.
Midway owned a 13-point lead in the first quarter.
Spring Creek entertains Union on Dec. 1.
Eagles grounded
ERWIN -- Luke Howell pumped in a game-high 18 points, but Wayne Christian suffered a 55-42 loss to Cape Fear Christian in a Class 1-A Carolina Christian Conference contest.
Kyle Harrell and Colton Woods added nine and seven points, respectively, for the Eagles.
Wayne Christian (1-3 overall, 0-1 CCC) did not make a field goal in the fourth quarter.

Warriors pinned
Zach Hahn claimed Eastern Wayne's lone contested match in a 54-28, non-conference loss to Washington on Tuesday evening.
Hahn grabbed a 14-5 major decision over the Pam Pack's Michael Smith at 145 pounds. Teammates Tyler Wallace (103 pounds), Roderick Ayers (112), Josh Hahn (119) and Austin Helm (125) each collected a forfeit.
Eastern Wayne (1-2 overall) returns to action Dec. 6 in the Bulldog Invitational at Dixon High School.
Golf
Walnut Creek LGA
Linda Cannon emerged the play-of-the-day winner during weekly tournament action at Walnut Creek Country Club.
Mary Morris claimed low gross. Betty Holloway and Faye Franklin seized low net and low putts, respectively.
