RALEIGH -- Spring Creek finished its dual-team tennis season with a 5-0 loss at state-ranked Raleigh Charter School on Monday in the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A playoffs.
The Gators, the Carolina Conference champions, concluded the year 12-2 overall.
Jamie Johnson and the doubles of Jana Kutsch-Rachel Lewis return to action Friday in the NCHSAA eastern individual regional at Herman Park. The four finalists in singles and doubles advance to the state championships.
Middle schools
* Volleyball: Norwayne d. Rosewood 17-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-13 -- Amber Rose led the Cobras with 15 points on serve. Regan Herndon added 14 points on serve in the win. Norwayne improved to 11-0 overall on the season.
