Alyecia Higgins scored the tie-breaking goal in the 77th minute to lift Mount Olive to a 2-1 victory over Lees-McRae in their Conference Carolinas women's soccer match.
Lyndsay Brennan scored the Trojans' first goal and assisted on the game winner. The winning goal came on the Trojans' only shot of the second half.
Mount Olive improved to 3-10 overall and 2-4 in the conference.
Alicia Mote notched a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs as Mount Olive defeated Converse (S.C.) College 25-18, 25-18, 25-11 in a Conference Carolinas women's volleyball match.
Kari Ham and Mallory Peavler also sparked the Trojans defensively with 10 digs apiece. Joanie Werling handed out 31 assists.
Mount Olive improved to 8-12 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
