Rams earn split

SNOW HILL -- Greene Central split a dual meet with Eastern Plains 2-A Conference foe Tarboro on Thursday.
The Vikings placed seven runners in the top 10 of the boys' race to finish with 15 team points ahead of the Rams' 55. Will Crandell was Greene Central's top runner with a seventh-place finish. Trent Murray and Wes Sowers also finished in the top 10.
Mackenzie Moore earned a second-place finish in the girls' race as Greene Central prevailed 26-29. Skyler Whitfield, Samantha Taylor, Sara Peacock and Samantha Robart were also top-10 finishers for the Rams.
