Alyecia Higgins put Mount Olive on the board less than four minutes into the contest Sunday afternoon, but No. 11-ranked Tusculum quickly answered the challenge.
The Pioneers tallied nine unanswered goals in a 9-1 victory over the Trojans' women's soccer team. Mount Olive exited 0-2-0 overall heading into Wednesday's non-conference outing at in-state rival Chowan University.
Game time is 2 p.m.
