Gators bite Saints

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek turned back Southern Wayne 25-20, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23 on Thursday afternoon.
Kristin Smith paced the Gators attack with 21 kills, five blocks, three service aces and a dig. Shaquita Brooks tallied eight kills, seven blocks and two aces. Randi Oxendine pitched in 24 assists and Whitney Frederick had five digs.
"This was a really matched team," said Spring Creek head coach Deanna Morris. "Southern Wayne made us work hard to earn each point. I am so proud of the girls."
The Gators (2-2 overall) travel to Midway on Tuesday.
