Roman Pena blasted a three-run homer and Kinston completed its four-game sweep of Salem with a 4-1 victory Sunday afternoon at historic Grainger Stadium.
Beau Mills collected his Carolina League-leading 81st RBI in the eighth inning as the K-Tribe captured its 10th straight win over the Avalanche. Kinston easily won the season series 16-4.
Jeanmar Gomez threw seven shutout innings and struck out six for his fourth mound win of the season.
Kinston begins a three-game homestand today against Lynchburg.
