Mudcats earn ninth shutout of season

Carolina picked up its ninth shutout of the season, a 2-0 decision over Mobile at Five County Stadium on Thursday evening.
Willie Glen earned the mound win, tossing a three-hitter in six innings. Three Mudcats relievers combined for three innings of scoreless ball and Chris Mobley earned his 21st save of the season.
Cameron Maybin provided an RBI single in the fourth inning. John Raynor delivered an RBI hit in the fifth inning.
The division-leading Mudcats lead Tennessee by six games in second-half play.
