Kinston dumps Myrtle Beach

Newcomer Carlos Santana and Beau Mills provided first-inning fireworks as Kinston dumped Myrtle Beach 7-2 at hsitoric Grainger Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Matt McBride, also a newcomer, added a fourth-inning RBI single. Mills added a three-run home run later in the inning, which boosted his season total to 17 -- second-most in the Carolina League. Mills (2-for-3, four RBI) leads the league with 73 RBI.
The K-Tribe evened the season series at 6-6.
