K-Tribe downs Potomac 6-4

Kinston pounded out five first-inning singles and knocked off Potomac 6-4 on Wednesday afternoon.
Jared Goedert, Carlos Rivero and Niuman Romero each had RBI hits in the opening inning. Goedert and Rivero (two RBI) concluded the outing with three hits, while Beau Mills extended his hit streak to 15 games.
Kinston's Kelvin De La Cruz threw 51/3 innings and permitted three earned runs in his Carolina League debut. He yielded five hits to go along with six strikeouts.
