Junior Legion routs Farmville

FARMVILLE -- Wayne County North used a John Taylor grand-slam to propel themselves to a 19-9 victory over Farmville Post 160 in junior legion baseball action on Monday.
Taylor also belted a double as part of a 3-for-3 effort.
Jose Ponce, Eric DuBose and Robert Faucet each recorded two hits in the victory, while Josh Frederick earned the win on the mound.
Wayne County North (3-4) will return to the diamond tonight at South Lenoir. First-pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
