K-Tribe blasts Myrtle Beach

Kinston sent 13 batters to the plate in the eighth inning and rolled past Myrtle Beach 13-2 on Wednesday evening.
Chris De La Cruz provided two hits and two RBI during the K-Tribe's eighth-inning uprising. Pelican pitchers allowed five hits, issued three walks and were victimized by two errors.
Nick Weglarz (3-for-5, 3 RBI) drilled his team-leading fifth home run in the first inning. Carlos Rivero smacked a sixth-inning, two-RBI homer.
The teams conclude their three-game series today.
