Mudcats win 7-5

Carolina clubbed a season-high four home runs and defeated first-place Huntsville 7-5 in Southern League action on Monday afternoon.
The Mudcats (26-19 overall) pulled within four games of the Stars.
Cameron Maybin, Brett Hayes and John Raynor each slugged a solo home run during the first three innings. Chris Coghlan's sixth-inning homer and Hayes' two-RBI double helped Carolina pull away.
The Mudcats have today off and begin a five-game home series Wednesday against Jacksonville. First pitch is approximately 7:15 p.m.
