Mudcats win 8-3

Chris Coghlan pounded out three hits, including his second home run of the season, during Carolina's 8-3 victory over first-place Huntsville on Sunday.
Coghlan collected a first-inning RBI single and capped his afternoon with a ninth-inning homer. The Mudcats (25-19 overall) pulled within five games of the Northern Division-leading Stars 30-14.
Lee Mitchell added three hits.
The teams conclude their series today.
