MOC baseball is Unanimous No. 1

Mount Olive College was an unanimous choice to keep its No. 1 ranking in the latest Collegiate Baseball Division II top 30 poll.
The Trojans (49-5 overall) outscored their opponents 41-1 and posted four shutouts during a 5-0 week on the Scarborough Field diamond. The MOC pitching staff tossed 34 consecutive scoreless innings and have allowed only one run in their last 43 innings for a microscopic 0.21 earned run average.
Mount Olive's 3.05 team ERA is among the 10 lowest in the nation.
