MOUNT OLIVE -- Tomeka Prichard recorded her third consecutive double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds as Mount Olive College routed The Apprentice School 71-50 on Wednesday evening at Kornegay Arena.

Alisa Jones and Brittney Robich added 14 points apiece for the Trojans, who claimed their third consecutive victory.

After Jones scored Mount Olive's first four points, Prichard and Robich broke the game open with back-to-back 3-pointers. Jones' putback 13 minutes into the first half gave the Trojans their biggest lead at 20-8.

The Apprentice School (3-5 overall) pulled within eight points on Rahshann Lewis' basket. Keona Corley's conventional three-play with 2:15 remaining boosted Mount Olive's lead to 27-16.

The Trojans (4-2) kept an 11-point advantage until the final minute. Monica Williams' basket and free throw closed the gap to 29-21 at halftime.

Corley's midcourt steal set up Prichard's fast break layup as Mount Olive scored the first six points of the second half. The Trojans never surrendered their double-digit lead the remainder of the game.

Tyisha Battle's three-point play pulled Apprentice School within 11 and the Builders got as close as 10 points. But Prichard and Robich connected on 3-pointers just 24 seconds apart to help the Trojans build the lead to 45-30 with 13:47 remaining.

Shequanta McGee's basket with 4:56 remaining pushed the margin to 20 points for the first team and the lead grew to as many as 23 points after baskets on consecutive possessions by Jones.

Corley finished with 11 points, seven assists and five steals for Mount Olive. Jones had three blocked shots and came within one rebound of her first double-double of the season. Prichard was 4-for-8 from 3-point range for the Trojans.

Mount Olive returns to action Saturday at the University of District of Columbia. The Trojans will spend the following week in Nassau to compete in the Bahamas Shootout.
