MOC spikers hammer Barton

Sam Mitchell recorded a match-high 17 kills and became the second player in Mount Olive volleyball history to surpass the 1,800-kill mark during Tuesday evening's 30-22, 30-19, 30-16 thrashing of Barton College at Kornegay Arena.
Corie Skislak and Racey Bartley both came within a kill of reaching double figures, finishing with nine kills each. Joanie Werling and Mariangelix Cordero combined for 37 assists, 19 for Werling and 18 for Cordero.
Defensively, Bartley added a team-high three blocks, while Mitchell recorded a match-high 17 digs for her 13th double-double of the season.
The Trojans (15-12 overall) improved to 11-5 in Conference Carolinas play and visit in-state rival Lees-McRae on Saturday.
