MOUNT OLIVE -- Matt Wallin scored two goals, while Chris Varela added a goal and an assist to lead regionally-ranked Mount Olive College past Chowan University 5-0 on Wednesday evening.

The Trojans, No. 7 in this week's Southeast Region poll, remained unbeaten in three outings at Amon Field.

MOUNT OLIVE -- Ashley Bradford capped her hat trick (three goals) with the game-winning goal in the third minute of overtime as Chowan University rallied past Mount Olive 5-4 at Amon Field.

The Trojans (0-2-0 overall) squandered a four-goal advantage.

Jackie Jimenez tallied two goals and an assist and April Jacobs added a goal and an assist as Mount Olive built a 3-0 lead by the 15th minute of the match.

Jacobs dribbled to the top of the box and found Jimenez for her second goal in the 27th minute to give Mount Olive a 4-0 lead at halftime.

Chowan (1-1-0) got on the scoreboard seven minutes into the second half as Kermethia Abernathy took a service in the box and scored from 10 yards out.

The Hawks then tied the match with three goals in a span of four minutes, beginning in the 64th minute. Bradford recaptured a loose ball at the top of the box and scored at 63:09 and Stephanie Montague converted a penalty kick two minutes later to pull Chowan within 4-3. Mount Olive had the first scoring opportunity in the overtime after a Chowan foul, but the Trojans were flagged for offside. On the counter attack, Abernathy got past the Trojan defense and found Bradford alone in the box for the game-winner at 92:13.

Sastre, who started the second half in goal for Mount Olive, finished with seven saves in 47 minutes. Ali O'Steen played in goal in the first half and recorded four saves. Brown tallied six saves for Chowan.
