WILMINGTON, Del. -- Backup catcher Armando Camacaro tied a Carolina League record with three home runs in a single game as Kinston rallied past Wilmington 7-5 in 10 innings on Thursday evening.

Camacaro slugged three, two-RBI homers in consecutive at-bats -- including the game-winner in the 10th. Heading into the game, Camacaro had hit just 12 HRs during his minor league career that started in 1999.

Along with his 10th-inning blast, Camacaro belted two-run shots in the sixth and eighth innings. John Drennen scored all three times as Camacaro concluded the night 3-for-5 with six RBI.

The K-Tribe's Brian Finegan scored the only other run of the game on a fifth-inning wild pitch.

Reliever Scott Roehl (3-0) tossed two scoreless innings of two-hit relief. Erik Stiller worked three scoreless innings. Wilmington touched Kinston right-hander Sung-Wei Tseng for five earned runs through five innings.

Camacaro dealt Yovany D'amico his first defeat in five decisions on the 10th-inning homer.

The teams continue their four-game series tonight.
