GREENSBORO -- Kendrick Best's interception return set up the East's first touchdown and helped lead to a 22-14 victory over the West in the annual N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star football contest at Jamieson Stadium.

Best and Adrian Black, two standout graduates from Eastern Wayne, participated in the contest. Warrior head coach Jeff Price served as an assistant to Joe McCullen, a Goldsboro native who served as the East's head coach.

Greene Central graduate Brandon Sutton posted 10 tackles and two sacks, earned the defensive MVP award.

East Carolina signee and Goldsboro High graduate Daquan Joyner emerged one of four East players in double figures with 11 points in an 81-75 loss to the West.
