Faith Christian defeated Woodland Baptist 10-0 in five innings on Tuesday in the second round of the N.C. Christian Schools Association Class 2-A playoffs.
Jennifer Christopher allowed only one hit to pick up the victory while adding two hits at the plate for the Conquerors.
Lindsey Godwin also had two hits while Brook Anderson, Madison Caudle and Kaitlyn Floars had one hit each.
Faith Christian (12-3) next plays on Friday in the semifinals of the playoffs.
Davis gets fourth
no-hitter for WCS
Wayne Christian's Traci Davis pitcher her fourth no-hitter of the season in beating Northwood Temple 11-0 on Tuesday in the Carolina Christian Conference semifinal game.
Davis recorded her eighth win by striking out a season-high 16 batters and allowing two walks.
The Eagles pounded out nine hits and scored in every inning but the fifth.
Kayla Kennedy had two doubles and Davis had another to lead the attack.
Wayne Christian (14-4) will next play Cape Fear in the CCC championship game on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Cape Fear.
North Lenoir blanks
Greene Central
SNOW HILL -- North Lenoir finished up the Eastern Plains Conference season with a 4-0 shutout of Greene Central on Tuesday.
Brittany Sanders got the win by allowing just three hits and striking out seven.
Kayla Sutton finished 2-for-4 with the bat while Connor Jordan had a hit and two RBIs for the Hawks.
Greene Central improves to 16-7 (6-2 EPC) and next plays in the first round of the state playoffs on Tuesday.

Wilson Hunt
turns back Saints
WILSON -- Wilson Hunt defeated Southern Wayne 10-7 in the tie-breaking game for third place in the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference.
Michael Holland took the loss for the Saints as he allowed six runs (four earned) in an inning.
For the Saints, Tyler Edwards and Chris Massey blasted solo home runs while Dave Overman added a hit and two RBIs.
Southern Wayne (12-14) next travel to D.H. Conley in the first round of the state playoffs on Friday.
Princeton falls in
regular season finale
PRINCETON -- Princeton lost its tune-up for the state playoffs by losing to South Johnston 7-2 on Tuesday night.
Jared McLamb took the loss on the mound for the Bulldogs while Andrew Cobb finished 2-for-3 at the plate.
Princeton finishes up the regular season at 17-7 overall.
North Lenoir pounds
Greene Central
LaGRANGE -- North Lenoir hit two home runs in a 15-1 route of Greene Central on Tuesday in Eastern Plains Conference action.
Sthil Sowers, Bryce Grady (RBI) and Andrew Manning (three RBIs) all tallied three hits apiece to lead the Hawks while George Walters and Josh Bass both hit home runs. Bass finished with four RBIs.
Sowers remains undefeated on the mound as he picked up victory no. 4 as he threw three perfect innings while striking out eight.
North Lenoir improves to 21-3 (10-0 EPC) and next plays in the first round of the state playoffs on Friday.
Goldsboro finishes
winless season
Goldsboro dropped to 0-22 and 0-10 in the Eastern Plains Conference by falling to North Pitt on Tuesday.
Donald Lewis and Josh McCoy both recorded two hits while Derek Smith and Eric McLean had one hit.

Top-ranked Eagles
dump Kerr-Vance
SOUTHERN PINES -- No. 1-ranked Wayne Christian beat second ranked Kerr-Vance Academy 302-326 in a non-conference match at Pinehurst on Tuesday.
Clark Rose lead the Eagles with a 71 while Eric Williams 78, Matt Davis 80, Andrew Radford 80, Hayden Gardner 84 and Taylor Gardner 90 rounded out the scoring.
Wayne Christian finished the regular season with a 36-3 overall record and 29-1 in conference.
Tennis
Rosewood loses
at Topsail
HAMPSTEAD -- Rosewood took only one match in falling to Topsail 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon in the N.C. High School Athletic Association dual-team playoffs.
Top seeded Blake Pleasents got Topsail going by defeating Rosewood's Daniel Ellis 6-2, 6-2 while Josh Grant defeated second seeded Trevor Morris 6-4, 6-2.
Rosewood's lone victory came in doubles play by the tandem of J.P. Cummins-Drew Kriger defeated Pleasents-Hatch.
Rosewood next hits the court on Friday in the regional playoffs at Herman Park.

North Lenoir wins
at Greene Central
SNOW HILL -- North Lenoir topped host Greene Central 4-1 in Eastern Plain Conference play on Tuesday.
Matt Kennedy picked up the win for the Hawks while Jasper Jones took the loss for the Rams.
Dejoun Gray finished 2-for-3 with a triple and Brandon Whitehurst had two hits for North Lenoir.
John Nethercut had a hit and an RBI for the Rams.
Greene Central falls to 9-12 overall (3-5 EPC) and plays its final game today versus Eastern Wayne at 4:30 p.m.
Dixie Youth Majors
Wayne Country Day 7, Rosewood 2 -- Cody Neal picked up the win by striking out seven in three innings of work. Neal also added a double and triple with the bat while Dare Uzzell also recorded a double. Cole Davis slammed a home run for WCD, which improved to 3-2.
