ROCKY MOUNT -- Floranta Wynn scorched the nets for 40 points and added 13 rebounds to lead Wayne Country Day to a 70-57 win over Faith Christian of Rocky Mount.
Dave Wilson added eight points and five rebounds for the Chargers who improved to 9-11 (2-3).
Wayne Country Day will next face Greenfield on Friday in their home finale.
Faith Christian reaches
20-win plateau
KINSTON -- Faith Christian upped their record to 20-2 as the Conquerors knocked off Bethel Christian 52-41.
Aaron Sladick scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Faith. Jeremy Sandlin also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Aycock stays hot,
beats Eastern Wayne
PIKEVILLE -- Isaac Ryals dished out seven assists as Charles B. Aycock turned back county rival Eastern Wayne 59-48 on Monday afternoon.
Ryal also provided nine points for the Golden Falcons, who improved to 10-13 overall and 6-3 in Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference play.
Tyheim Pitt poured in a game-high 25 points and Antwan Hagans added 10 for Aycock, which collected its ninth win in its last 14 outings.
Hassan Best led the Warriors with 10 points. Eastern Wayne (7-12) suffered its third straight loss and dipped to 3-6 in the conference.
Davis' big night

ROCKY MOUNT -- Brandon Davis filled up the scoring column with 36 points to lead Wayne Country Day to a 64-54 victory over Faith Christian of Rocky Mount.
Vaughn Eason added a double-double of 10 point and 10 rebounds for the Chargers.
Wayne Country Day (9-10, 4-3) concludes their regular season on Friday against Greenfield.

KINSTON -- Faith Christian dropped a nail-biter to Bethel Christian 40-37 in overtime.
Brad Flores led the Conquerors with 14 points.

Norwayne boys 51, Brogden 30 -- Rodimez Green led three Norwayne players in double-figures with 13 to help the Cobras to the win. Marquise Bryant added 11 points and Shepherd Whitfield had 10 for Norwayne who improved to 8-5 (5-3).
Cape Fear Christian Academy boys 37, Wayne Christian 26 -- Chase King's double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds wasn't enough as Cape Fear knocked off host Wayne Christian (8-8, 3-3) in its season finale.
Greenwood girls 34, Eastern Wayne 29 -- Shamori Worrell scored 19 points to lead Greenwood to the win. The victory improves Greenwood to 11-2 and a perfect 8-0 in conference play.
Norwayne girls 34, Brogden 22 -- Imari Powell's 10 points and Courtnei Gilbert's eight helped lead Norwayne (12-1, 6-1) to the victory over Brogden. Brogden was led by Brittney Brewington who tallied 10 points.
