Mount Olive won all three of its matches without dropping a game as the Trojans posted a 3-0 record at the Villa Julie College men's volleyball quad meet on Saturday at Baltimore, Md.

Mount Olive (5-1) opened with a 30-17, 30-22, 30-9 victory over Mount Saint Vincent (N.Y.) as Jose Lanier recorded 11 kills and Pedro Penate added 10 kills. Zach Wilson recorded 29 assists for the Trojans.

In the next match, Lanier tied a school record with nine blocks as the Trojans defeated tournament host Villa Julie (Md.) 30-22, 30-17, 30-23. Cesar Trigo de Serrano led Mount Olive with 14 kills and two aces, while Wilson finished with 26 assists and four blocks.

The Trojans wrapped up the day with a 30-20, 30-15, 30-16 win over Wentworth (Mass.). Kyle Lewis tallied 11 kills and five blocks for Mount Olive. Freshman Alex Hoekstra recorded 25 assists in his first collegiate start.

Mount Olive has already equaled its win total from each of the first two seasons of the Trojan men's volleyball program. Mount Olive has two chances Saturday to set a new single-season wins record as the Trojans play host to Warner Southern (Fla.) for a pair of matches. Match times are 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Kornegay Arena.
