PRINCETON -- Ryan Daughtry scored 21 points to lead Princeton to a 58-38 victory over Hobbton in non-conference action Wednesday night.

Josh Holmes added 14 points and Daniel Gerrell scored nine while pulling down nine rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Princeton improves to 8-4 on the season.

Spring Creek falls

at East Duplin

BEULAVILLE -- East Duplin built a 50-29 lead after three quarters and held on for a 66-54 victory over Spring Creek in non-conference play Wednesday night.

Kevin Wynn led the Gators with 16 points while Desmond Raiford added a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

"Not a pretty game, but we are improving," said Spring Creek coach Sonny Kilpatrick.

TEACHEY -- Southern Wayne fell at Wallace-Rose Hill 66-59, Tuesday night in non-conference play.

Jon Hart led the Saints with 15 points while Orlando Jones added 13 and Anthony Vick scored 10 points.

BEULAVILLE -- Andrea Barber's 20 points led East Duplin to a 47-18 victory over Spring Creek in non-conference action.

The Gators were led by Melanique DeVeaux who scored six points.

TEACHEY -- Southern Wayne got 18 points from Dallas Sutton to knock off Wallace-Rose Hill 59-41, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

Rashaad Hill added 12 points for the Saints.

Goldsboro wins

SMITHFIELD -- LaQuita Holmes did all she could scoring nearly all of Goldsboro's points in a 25-19 win over Smithfield-Selma, Tuesday night in non-conference play.

Holmes scored 20 points to lead the Cougars who improved to 4-6 on the season.

Middle School

Grantham boys 43, Spring Creek 22 -- Terran Fields scored 14 points and Justin Grady added 13 to lead the Bulldogs to the victory.

Grantham improved to 3-3 (2-1) and next faces Rosewood on Jan. 4.

Norwayne boys 55, Greenwood 51 Shepard Whitfield poured in 33 points in the Norwayne win.

Norwayne (5-2, 2-1) next plays Jan. 8 versus Eastern Wayne.

Mount Olives boys 33, Brogden 26 -- Breyon Johnson scored 10 points and Octaveous Oates added nine for victorious Mount Olive.

Mount Olive remained a perfect 5-0 in conference and improved to 5-2 overall.

Grantham girls 25, Spring Creek 15 -- Andrel Moris scored 10 points for Grantham in the victory while Brittany Wills had five points for Spring Creek.

Grantham, now 2-3 (1-2) next faces Rosewood on Jan. 4.

Norwayne girls 47, Greenwood 23 -- Norwayne got 16 points from Courtney Gilbert in their victory while Kendra Spate added 10.

The victory improves Norwayne to 6-1 (2-1) while Greenwood slips to 5-1 (4-0).

Dillard girls 51, Rosewood 21 -- Shakira Campbell and Machiya Maye both scored 12 points to help lead Dillard to the victory.

Dillard is now 3-2 and next faces Greenwood on Jan. 4.
