UPWARD basketball
The First Penecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro has pre-registration for UPWARD basketball until Dec. 13. The registration fee is $55, which includes a complete uniform. The registration fee after Dec. 13 is $65 and the registration period ends Dec. 31. For more information, telephone 734-4660 or 734-2674.
Youth basketball registration
Registration for youth basketball sponsored by the Goldsboro Parks and Recreation Department will end Dec. 15. Players ages 6-11 may register at the GPRD office between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, telephone Jeff Winbush at 739-7488.
Adult Church League basketball
Any church interested in playing adult league church basketball this year please contact Donnie King at 922-3557, Michael King at 922-9020 or Mike Jordan at 921-6131. National Babe Ruth umpires clinic
The N.C. Babe Ruth State Clinic is scheduled for Dec. 30 at the ECAP. The registration period is from 8:30-9 a.m. and the clinic will run until 5 p.m. The clinic is for all umpires interested in umpiring Babe Ruth baseball and all coaches are encourage to attend. King Pin Scratch Open
The 2nd annual King Pin Scratch Open is scheduled for Jan. 12-14 at AMF Boulevard Lanes in Goldsboro. Entry fee is $100 per squad. First prize is $5,000. For more information, telephone Clarke Hill at 394-6713 or AMF Boulevard Lanes at 735-6358.
