MURFREESBORO -- Tomeka Prichard hit 4-of-7 three-pointers and led four players in double figures with 14 points as Mount Olive held off Chowan 65-52 in non-conference women's basketball Tuesday. The Trojans shot 55.6 percent from the field and withstood a late rally after building a 25-point lead in the second half.

Mount Olive (3-3) led 32-20 at halftime and led by as many as 25 points with less than seven minutes remaining in the game. Chowan (4-4) cut the Trojans' lead to nine with 1:25 remaining, but Mount Olive held on for the win, its second in a row. The Trojans have held each of their last three opponents under 60 points.

Alisa Jones and Helen Moore finished with 11 points apiece, while Sierra Medeiros added 10 points for the Trojans. The trio combined to shoot 66.7 percent (14-for-21) from the field. Jill Oaks pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds to go with four steals.

Prichard, who is averaging 17.7 points per contest in her last three games, has hit at least one three-pointer in 23 of her last 24 games. Keona Corley, who missed a triple-double Saturday by one assist, dished out eight assists and recorded four steals.

The Trojans finished 25-for-45 from the field, including 6-for-14 from beyond the arc. Mount Olive overcame a tough night from the free throw line, shooting only 36.0 percent (9-for-25).

Chowan was led by Tyshaunna Winston with a game-high 15 points.

Mount Olive is off for final exams, then returns to action December 16 as the Trojans travel to Raleigh to take on St. Augustine's in a non-conference match-up. Tip-off is 2 p.m.
