KINSTON -- Charles B. Aycock quarterback Thomas Pilkington tied a season-high with four touchdown passes in a wild 42-35 victory at Kinston on Friday evening.

Pilkington threw a first-quarter touchdown pass to Michael King. The senior tossed scoring strikes of 10 and 26 yards, respectively, to Jacob Pendleton and Montez Ham in the second quarter.

Pendleton hauled in a 22-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Pilkington, a two-year varsity starter, completed 13 of 20 passes for 211 yards. He boosted his season totals to 1,222 yards and an area-leading 15 touchdown passes.

Dontay Taylor, as usual, emerged the Golden Falcons' top rusher. Taylor rambled for 179 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns on runs of 13 and 2 yards. Taylor leads area rushers with 1,190 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Linebacker Travis Milligan paced the Aycock defense with 13 tackles, including eight solo stops, and a blocked field-goal try. Anthony Holder contributed six tackles (five solo) and one sack. Javoneta Taylor (six tackles), Ham (four tackles) and Chris Bryant (sack) also played well on defense.

The Golden Falcons (6-2) remained perfect in two Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference outings. They play host to reigning ECC champion Wilson Hunt next Friday.
