MYRTLE BEACH -- Kinston ended the regular season on a high note with a 5-2, 11-inning win over Myrtle Beach on Monday afternoon.

Micah Schilling started the extra-inning barrage when he singled with one out in the top of the 11th. One batter later, Rodney Choy Foo brought him home with a double up the third-base line.

Caleb Brock and Chris De La Cruz added RBIs later in the 11th inning.

Argenis Reyes started the scoring for Kinston in the third inning when he hit his second home run of the season, a two-run shot scoring Johnny Drennen to make the score 2-0. Myrtle Beach tied it up with runs in the fourth and seventh innings.

Scott Sumner (1-1) picked up the win, throwing three innings of one-hit relief. Scott Roehl got his fourth save of the season, pitching a scoreless bottom of the eleventh.

Kinston set an all time franchise record with a .273 team batting average for the season. Kinston's bats were also second-best in franchise history in hits, runs scored and RBIs. K-Tribe pitcher Chuck Lofgren set a modern day franchise record with 17 wins, the most in all of Minor League Baseball this season. Indians hurler Scott Lewis also set a franchise mark with a 1.48 ERA, the best of any full season thrower in all of Minor League Baseball this season.
