SNOW HILL -- Charles B. Aycock's Shelly Lancaster registered 14 kills in the Golden Falcons' five-set win at Greene Central on Wednesday.

Aycock (1-0) claimed the season-opening match, 17-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-9, 15-9.

Jazzmine Lee added 11 kills as Amy Fryt contributed seven kills. Laura Thigpen served up eight aces, while Emily Jordan was applauded by coach Davis Harris for solid all-around, floor-play.

The Golden Falcons host Spring Creek today.

WILSON -- Charles B. Aycock's Kristen Bennett picked up the her teams' lone win at No. 5 singles as the Golden Falcons suffered an 8-1 loss at Wilson Fike on Wednesday.

It was the season-opening match for Aycock.

The Demons captured four of their singles victories in straight sets, while Mary Prince won at No. 1 singles when Aycock's Raychel Batts retired with a 4-3 lead in the first set. Fike (2-0) lost just four games in three doubles matches.

The Falcons (0-1) return to action today at home against Greene Central at 3:30 p.m.

Andrew Lancaster assisted Pinter.

Justin Brewer scored for the visiting Golden Demons.

Eastern Wayne is now 1-0-1 overall.
