JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Ricky Ledee hit a game-winning single over the third base bag to end Thursday night's rain-suspended game over 27 hours after the game began at the Baseball Grounds.

Ledee's single came three pitches after a disputed safe call at second base when reliever Matt Yourkin's throw to second base attempting to force out Chin Lung Hu on a bunt play was ruled to have pulled Rex Rundgren off of the base. Hu singled to begin the ninth inning.

The game was suspended at 0-0 after 31/2 innings on Thursday night, then endured more than a one-hour rain delay before it was scheduled to resume on Friday. A second rain delay on Friday came after the end of the eighth inning, lasting another 90 minutes.

The second game scheduled was postponed until Saturday.

Jacksonville (9-9) took a 1-0 lead in the fifth on the first pro hit by relief pitcher Alvis Ojeda, slugging Daniel Barone's first pitch over the left field wall. Ojeda was 0-for-11 in his career prior to the homer.

Carolina (8-10) tied the game in the sixth when Frank Moore homered against Ojeda, followed by a double by Lee Mitchell. Ryan Bear singled Mitchell home to put the Mudcats ahead 2-1. The Suns tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on a grounder by Jimmy Rohan.
