Snow Hill tops Nash
ROCKY MOUNT -- Snow Hill's Tommy Cobb and Spencer Albritton had two hits and one RBI each in Post 94's 9-7 conquest of Nash County on Sunday afternoon.
The game was called in the top of the eighth inning due to rain.
Snow Hill (7-8, 5-8 Area I East) was scheduled to play a second game on Sunday night at Wilson but rain forced that game to moved to today at 7 p.m. at Wilson Fike. Post 94 is slated to play seven games in the next six days to complete their regular-season schedule.
Drew Sowers picked up the win at Nash County, yielding six runs on 12 hits with six strikeouts and one walk.
Andrew Webb endured the loss for Post 58 (6-10 overall), which travels to Pitt County Post 39 today. Brian Allen had three hits and three RBIs to pace Nash's 15-hit attack.

Wayne falls
on road
WILSON -- Wayne County suffered a 9-5 loss to Wilson County at Fleming Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Alex Casey, Chad Gourley, Garrett Barfield and Byron Powell had two hits each for Wayne County (7-2), which is scheduled to host Kinston on Tuesday.
Zack Crumpler paced Wilson at the plate with three hits.
Michael Douglas took the loss for Wayne, while Jake Strickland got the win for Wilson.
Wayne's Sunday contest at Snow Hill was rained out and postponed until July 3.
