Post 11 rained out again

For the second straight night, a Wayne County Senior American Legion contest was postponed due to rain.
Post 11 was slated to face Garner at 7 p.m. at home on Tuesday, but a late afternoon storm made Scarborough Field unplayable. With the threat of more rain today, Wayne County (4-4, 2-3) is scheduled to host Wilson County (7-3, 6-2) in Area I East play at 7 p.m.
"If we don't get a lot of rain, we'll be fine," Wayne County coach Brad Reaves said. "But if we get much at all, we probably won't be able to go."
No make-up dates are officially scheduled for Monday's postponed game against New Bern or Tuesday's contest with Garner.
