SNOW HILL -- Thomas Moye delivered a key, two-RBI hit in the late stages and Wilson Post 13 escaped with a 3-2, 10-inning victory over Area I East Division foe Snow Hill Post 94 on Thursday evening.

The teams battled to a scoreless tie through seven innings.

Moye put Wilson ahead 2-0 with his two-RBI hit in the eighth.

Snow Hill trimmed the lead in half in the eighth and forced the extra inning with one run in the ninth.

Miscommunication in the outfield -- a fly ball dropping between three players -- allowed Wilson to push across the game-winning run in the 10th. Post 94 left runners stranded in scoring position at second and third to end the game.

Hunter Chase (RBI), Richie Turner and Lance Murray each had two hits for Snow Hill.

On Wednesday, Matthew Whitley and Bradley Brown had two hits and one home run each in Post 94's division loss at Edenton.

Chase and Michael Eubanks also had two hits for Post 94, while Craven Taylor took the loss.

Snow Hill (3-3, 1-3 Area I East) entertains Rocky Mount Post 58 today. Game time is 7 p.m. on the James R. Fulghum Athletic Complex diamond at Greene Central.
