Warriors' Moye delivers two hits, two RBI in road win

SNOW HILL -- Eastern Wayne's Joey Moye had two hits and two RBIs in the Warriors' 8-2 win at Greene Central in non-conference play on Saturday night.
Tyler Ham added three RBIs for Eastern Wayne, which improved to 10-11 overall heading into Tuesday's Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference game at home against Charles B. Aycock.
Taylor Sutton tossed 51/3 innings and picked up the win on the mound for the Warriors, while John Wooten came on to pitch the final 12/3 innings.
William Brown endured the loss for the Rams (11-9) as Tyler Chase paced Greene Central at the plate with two hits.
Greene Central returns to Class 2-A Eastern Plains Conference action on Monday at Goldsboro in a rescheduled game from Friday.

Grantham 14, Spring Creek Green 3 -- Keenan Winn slugged two home runs for Grantham, while Will Bunch, Jacob Sasser and Taylor Brock had two hits. Jeremy Taylor and Will Bunch combined on a one-hitter for Grantham (6-2). James Lancaster got the lone hit for Spring Creek Green.
