Greene Central roughs up Parrott
KINSTON -- Greene Central's Hunter Chase had three hits and led a balanced Rams' attack in a 12-2 win over Parrott Academy at the George Whifield Easter Tournament at Kinston High School Saturday morning.
Greene Central (10-6) will face the winner of Kinston and D.H. Conley on Monday at 4 p.m. on the second day of the three-day tourney.
Michael Speedy (2 RBIs), Tyler Chase (2 RBIs) and Curtis Braswell (RBI) had two hits each for the Rams, while Robert Tyndall picked up the win on the mound.
Brick Crowder endured the mound loss and had two hits for the the Patriots, who face the loser of Kinston and D.H. Conley at 11 a.m. on Monday.
