Rosewood suffers non-confrence loss
Rosewood's Kyle Bunn pumped in 23 points, making six, 3-pointers, in the Eagles' 60-50 loss to Union in non-conference play on Wednesday at home.
Rosewood fell to 4-16 overall heading into Friday's Class 1-A Carolina Conference contest at Spring Creek.
The Eagles led the Spartans 20-15 after one quarter, but Rosewood scored just seven points in the second and trailed 34-27 at the break. Union held a slim, 46-45 going into the fourth, before outscoring the home team 14-5 in the final quarter.
Zack Honeycutt paced the Spartans with 29 points.
Union finished 15-17 from the free-throw line, while Rosewood made 5-8.

Faith tallies
road win
GREENVILLE -- Faith Christian's Elizabeth Clarke scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Conquerors claimed a 25-12 win at Trinity-Greenville on Tuesday.
Faith (10-7 overall), which improved to 6-2 in N.C. Christian Schools Athletic Association play, led 17-10 at halftime, then held Trinity to only two points after intermission.
Alyssa Hill added 10 rebounds for the Conquerors, while Amie Hill pulled down eight rebounds. Kristen Maddox contributed six rebounds and five steals for Faith, which hosts Mount Calvary on Friday.

Rosewood's Joey Boyette scored a team-best 14 points and hit a shot as time expired to help boost the Eagles to a 60-59 win at home over Union on Wednesday in in non-conference action.
Taylor Allen contributed 12 points for Rosewood.
Tarrence Douglas paced the Spartans with 20 points.

DUDLEY -- Southern Wayne emerged with five wins by pinfall and claimed a 60-22 win at home over Wilson Beddingfield on Tuesday.
The win improved the Saints (7-9 overall) to 3-1 in the Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference heading into the conference tournament on Saturday at Charles B. Aycock.
Doogie Neamon (112), Eric Futrelle (135), Vick Darden (140), John Futrelle (145) and Ricky Coley (189) all emerged with victories by pinfall for Southern Wayne, while Dustin Richards (103), J.D. Medlin (215) and Josh Robinson (275) all won by forfeit.
